I know the topic of identifying the various blurry background ships in the rebel fleet has been mentioned frequently, but I think I have some clearer evidence to contribute:

That has damn-near the same profile as the common depiction of the Rendili Dreadnaught IMO. Retcon worthy? How would one go about that anyway? My finger isn't exactly on the pulse of SW canon procedures and power-players.
Retconning Dreadnaught into ROTJ? (HD screencap)

The front part could pass, but definitely not the rear.
"No, no, no, no! Light speed's too slow! Yes, we're gonna have to go right to... Ludicrous speed!"
Re: Retconning Dreadnaught into ROTJ? (HD screencap)
Do you have a larger image to put it into context? It clearly is not a Invincible-class. Too elongated. It looks Mon Calamari, a bit like a squashed wingless cruiser or Home One-class.

I mean, how often am I to enter a game of riddles with the author, where they challenge me with some strange and confusing and distracting device, and I'm supposed to unravel it and go "I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE" and take great personal satisfaction and pride in our mutual cleverness?

In Brazil they say that Pele was the best, but Garrincha was better

Oops. Just noticing I gave the wrong link to the full-size pic in the OP.Bakustra wrote:Do you have a larger image to put it into context?

It's from the scene when the Rebel fleet makes the jump to hyperspace.
The rear looks more like the depiction from XvT/Xwing Alliance, with its flattened and slightly angled engines. Wouldn't be the first time a ship's styling has gone through different iterations though (Nebula-class SD, anyone?).Srelex wrote:The front part could pass, but definitely not the rear.

I meant wider-angle or zoomed out enough to see its size relative to other ships, if possible. EDIT: Oh, thanks. It's pretty obviously a kitbash using the head of the rebel transport, but it likely isn't a Dreadnaught.Noble713 wrote:Oops. Dreadnaughts have been consistently drawn since WEG first created them, in terms of general lines. The Nebula was drawn inconsistently, but it first appeared in text. However, I've heard that the Dreadnaught was based on some concept art. This may be related to that concept art as well. The rear looks more like the depiction from XvT/Xwing Alliance, with its flattened and slightly angled engines. If anything, the ship to the left of the mentioned ship looks more like the depiction of the Dreadnaught.Noble713 wrote:Oops. Just noticing I gave the wrong link to the full-size pic in the OP.

This is an empty country and I am it's king, and I should not be allowed to touch anything.
Re: Retconning Dreadnaught into ROTJ? (HD screencap)
Added the GR75 and an actual Dreadnaught to the picture. Comparing to the kitbashes, they look similar, but the "Dreadnaught" is still somewhat unique. Maybe it's made by one of the local manufacturers mentioned in the AOTC:ICS?
