Map of the Galaxy.

Post by KhyronTheBackstabber »

Just thought I'd let you all know, I just picked up the new Star Wars Insider mag, and it comes with a map of the Galaxy. It's the best map I've ever seen. It's got some useful info on it too.

The two maps I know of come from the Core Rulebook and Revised Rulebook from WOTC's Star Wars Roleplaying game. Both are pretty expansive, but the Revised one seems to match more with the canon version of the galaxy seen in AotC. Does this map you've found have the unknown region taking up almost a full quadrant of the galaxy or does it show the unknown region being beyond the outer rim?
The gift of Superman is the same in his universe as ours. It's not about his powers, his costume, his persona, it's about the using the gifts he has to help people. We all have gifts too, maybe we can't leap tall buildings in a single bound, but maybe we're good with math, maybe we're charming. We can use our gifts -whatever they are- to help people. We just need to make that choice. And Superman shows us that it's possible.

The size of the thing menas it would require several scans and then some photoshopping to put it back together.

My only complaint is that they left off the dwarf galaxies. However, since going by the placement of Kamino, one should be straight "south" and one straight "North", one could argue that they were just cut off by the size rather then forgotten.

The probably (stupidly) placed the Unknown Regions inside the galactic disk rather than the (mostly) empty halo around the galactic disk, keeping in line with common sense, science, and the original Behind the Magic and Rebellion maps.

I said this is one of the best maps I've ever seen; of course the unknown regions are outside the rim. There is an article in the mag that tells all they went through to make it.

No! That the Unknown Regions are in the mostly empty void AROUND the galaxy's disk (swirly thing). I'm sure they placed the Unknown Regions stupidly above the Core and next to the Empire like in the brain damaged Chronology and NJO Novel maps.
