Jedi power

There is something i wonder about the jedi if they can sense things from a great distance how come they could`nt sense that Palpatine was hiding things from them.

He's a Sith. He can block it. Besides the Jedi power was weakening. The Dark Side was clouding things. So with Palpatine's power, he could have blocked his Sith-ness, and his evil.

Trained Force-adepts are able to suppress their power. Considering that the Sith doctrine was to wait for the right moment to strike, it kinda makes sense that they'd be able to thoroughly hide themselves.

It's akin to the whole thing about ECM, ECCM, ECCCM, ECCCCM, etc. Measures, counter-measures, counter-counter-measures...

Anyway, another reason is that, as everyone seems to forget, the Jedi were losing their ability to use the Force. Lessened Force abilities means less of a chance of being able to sense a Sith, who is already hiding his power anyway.
