TIE Fighter Collector's CD-ROM
I've just been trying to play TIE Fighter on my moden computer. I keep getting the "Stack Overflow" error, and my attempts to fix it through the MS-DOS prompt and Boot Disk have failed. Any suggestions?

Sadly, you probably need to get the Windows version to play it nowdays. I used to play the DOS version when I had Win95, but Mr. Gates had to go and "improve" everything. So I burned my friend's Windows version of the game
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

I'm very computer illiterate, so you'll have to tell me how first. Do I open it in notepad, and copy/paste?phongn wrote:Post your autoexec.bat and config.sys files.

Yes. I presume that you do have a autoexec.bat and config.sys files on the boot disk?Pablo Sanchez wrote:I'm very computer illiterate, so you'll have to tell me how first. Do I open it in notepad, and copy/paste?phongn wrote:Post your autoexec.bat and config.sys files.
I once had the same error, and I don't recall how I fixed it - I'll have to look up some old DOS commands first.
