The Corporate Sector

Does anyone know the history behind it? How it started? More importantly though, how did it remain autonomous throughout the Empire's reign?

It was an Imperial protectorate.

They did what Palpatine wanted them to, even if they were "autonomous."

To me it looks like they have a relationship somewhat similar to the British East India Company relationship with the British Empire.

They get to do whatever they want within their sphere, but the Empire gets part of their revenue. They do all this by the grace of the Emperor, though.

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

The Corporate Sector was started when large corporations started exploring and claiming space.

I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
