Page's Commandos

Post by Lonestar »

I was rereading Heir to the Empire this morning, and a thought occured to me.

I don't recall ever seeing Page's Commandos outside of th Thrawn Trilogy. Were they?
"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

I think they were in the X-Wing books. Specifically, on the attack on Borleias in Rogue Squadron.

They were found throughout the XWing books I know. There really wasn't many other books that didn't center on the main Star Wars characters enough to get into them.

They appeared in books 1 and 8 of the X-wing series.

If I remeber correctly, there was a short story about them in one of the SW Insider issues. Probably one of the older ones, but I'll look through my stack and find it.

IIRC Pages Commando group where actually called the Kartan Commandos and indeed founded to honour one Kyle Kartan. I can't remember exactly where i read this, but i definatley saw it once.

The Katarn Commandos changed their name to the Page Commandos after Katarn retired from active duty and Page took over. Look up "Page" or "Katarn" on the Unofficial Encyclopedia (www.theforce.net/swenc) for what books they appear in.
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'
