Databank stuff

From the ysalamiri section: What is that suppossed to be that the furry slug is on?
In addition to a working prototype of a modern cloaking shield, Mount Tantiss hid thousands of Spaarti cloning cylinders. The Spaarti cylinders -- refinements of Kaminoan technology developed on Cartao during the Clone Wars -- became a nearly inexhaustible source of new stormtroopers for Thrawn to use.
Wayland

Interesting
Mon Calamari engineering philosophy heavily favors redundancy. The MC80 has three times as many shield generators for a starship of its size. Though each generator is weaker than a comparable Imperial unit, it does allow a Mon Cal vessel to replenish exhausted shields at a faster rate than the enemy.
A long known fact, but it plays into the newer refresh rate information we got from ICS.
Hmmm.
The prolonged blast stream of this turbolaser design necessitated a gargantuan reactor core. The cannon's power and support equipment requirements are so robust that it prevented its use aboard large starships.
While this could mean that the beam we see is too powerful for shipboard mounting, effectively disproving ICS because we see no huge atmospheric effects like we would a GT weapon, perhaps this instead refers to the fact that the recoil from it would be different as it is a beam. If I smack my desk as hard as I can, I'm only gonna hurt myself. BUt if I apply a longer, lesser pressure, I will shove it around the room. Perhaps the mountings are desined for short blasts, and prolonged firing of shipboard weapons would twist the framework?

Does the Databank rank high enough in canonicity to override ICS? I don't believe it does.

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

I doubt it. Its littered with errors.

It is an error. Besides, the ICS takes information directly from the movies. As far as official goes, that would be the first rung down.

It doesn't make sense anyway; why would the continuous beam make it automatically more powerful or intense? And they're obviously less powerful than HTLs.

Idiots.

I think it's Thrawn with his pet ysalamiri.
