They were more like young adult short novels with a couple illustrations every couple pages.

There are ones documenting Katarn's career from Imperial Academy to defection to the Dark Forces storyline to the Jedi Knight storyline.

You can usually find them at Barnes & Noble.
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

I looked, none. Also nothing on the site (which I recently ordered $60 (US) worth of books from, I would have got that if it was there) Oh well.

Problem is, Empire probably wouldn't have made World Devastators, Rebels were crushed at Endor, remember.

The Empire would most likely still build them. THe Rebels were a none entity when it came to military power. They only posed a threat because of the hit and fade tactics that they used. The Empire had hundreds of thousands of capital ships, I doubt they were all built to fight the Rebels since the Empire only used 30 at Endor.

No, a lot of them were sector defense fleets and the like. But why build a World Devastator when you have a (probably completed at this time) Death Star 2 to keep order? A rebellion starts, blow up the planet it's on. Sound like Imperial policy to me...

EDIT: Really, only 30 ships? I seem to remember a much bigger # in novelization, but I haven't read it in awhile, so I'm probably wrong...

The Rebel Fleet at Endor was around 30 ships (all classes). Maybe forty at most.

The Empire had around 30 ISDs, and 1 ECS.

The Rebels were greatly outnumbered.

However, the World Devestators, and the other projects at Byss and in the Deep Core were stated to have the alterior motive of also being able to be used in a later invasion of another galaxy.

I haven't read Dark Empire yet (just ordered it from barnesandnoble.com, should be here around April 29th), so I'll just take your word for it.

That information was from the DESB.
