d20?

Post by Talon Karrde »

I have just purchased the revised Star Wars roleplaying game from WOTC and am wondering where and how do I get my hands on a 20 sided-die, 12 sided die, 10 sided die, 8 sided die, and 4 sided die. I've never heard of such things before! HELP PLEASE! :o

any hobby shop has thousands of dice. buy them all. you can only use each individuial dice once in a row, otherwise it gets tired.

and, I'm running a game in this system. much fun.

Get your dice blessed by a priest/minister/imam/rabbi, even if you're an atheist. Works wonders for your rolls.

Would that involve ritual of the nail file? or just a good luck?

That quite depends on the game you play. In one we frequently play, rolling a 20 is a botch.

it's just a lucky d20. and, in my games, 20 is double or triple maximum success.

it's the ones you have to worry about.

and, a friend of mine has a d100, and d6s bigger then a man's fist. another friend has a d30. . .with opposed rolls, he uses it vs our d20. he usually wins.

Well Im hoping a d30 would generally beat a d20, that would be logical :D

Do you think Barnes and Noble bookstores would have dice? I bought the RPG Core rulebook there, perhaps I looked over the dice??

Are there any comic shops near you? Some also have RPG stuff. Try looking there.

A 100d die? Jesus, that'd be practically like a ball!

If I recall correctly, it's a bit larger than a golf ball, and has a few small balls inside to stabilize it. :)

I love my d100. In a pinch, it can be used against Jehovah's Witnesses

Have you actually seen one of those suckers in operation? Hit a JW with a shot, they'd likely explode.
