Right, I was just trying to provide a little more detail in answer to Stormbringer's question. Unfortunatley the ICS really doesn't get that
specific on the various forms.
Actually the novelization of AOTC does the best job of dealing with Dooku's style and even then it's not that detailed. Basically the only thing they add is that his style conserves motion and energy compared to the sword fighting style favored by the majority of Jedi.

The source is the SW, Episode II Visual Dictionary.
Type II is the one that Dooku learned. It is designed for combat against other lightsaber-armed foes. It favors a lack of movement and a conservation of energy, and is more back-and-forth than the other styles, which tend to be side-to-side in movement.
Type IV, Obi-Wan's style, is designed to combat blaster fire. It is relatively stationary, favoring rapid parries and balance to flashy moves and attacks.
Type III is Anakin's main style. It is favored for its powerful attacks and strength.
Type VII is Mace Windu's. It is considered somewhat flashy, and is used only by very skilled Jedi.

Indeed, you can see the beginnings of Vader's fighting style in the young Anakin. Darth Vader's fighting style is based on his beastly strength, as Anakin's fighting style is, and Anakin uses powerful downward strikes in AOTC similar to the ones uses by Vader in the classic trilogy.Anakin's is also very aggressive (hint, hint)

I came up with one with a very Jubei like mindset, that has a Purple blade.
I aslo have one in a fanfic, whose blade is white with black core, belonging to a very telekentic/arieal style dark Jedi who calls himself "Sereph"

Well, to begin with, they were going by the Lucas Bible before Episode 2. Lightsabers are only Blue, Green and Red.AL wrote:hey, I'm wondering when the EU writers will come up with a Jedi having a pink blade?
However, when Mr. Jackson came to Mr. Lucas and said "I want a mf purple lightsaber", how could he say no?
I had a purple lightsaber long before Master Windu. I also have written black, white, and one made from an opal, which is milky white with colored specks in it. Gotta love fics and RPG.
having only blue, green, and red lightsaber is a really POS idea. They're supposed to be PERSONALIZED. Red, gold, silver, whatever. Why do you think Kenobi was so reverant when he said "your father's lightsaber" if Anakin lost his saber every couple months? It's BS and I think it's a brain bug.

IIRC the only reason they added the green blade in ROTJ was because a blue one didn't show well against the blue desert sky. Oringinally I think Lucas really only wanted to have blue and read.Kelly Antilles wrote:Well, to begin with, they were going by the Lucas Bible before Episode 2. Blue was to represent the light side (concequently green as well, or perhaps the green was the resurgance of the light side?)
Red is ONLY for Sith or Dark Lords.
I am not disagreeing that it was a bad idea. I concur wholeheartedly. I am just pointing out as to why there have been no other colors mentioned until Episode 2.
With one EU exception.
In I, Jedi, Corran Horn creates his lightsaber which is different. It's silver.
