The entire Jedi Council, along with Yoda where very arrogant an faible. The assuault on Geonosis was a perfect example. The Jedi council denied that Dooku could have turned Dark "He was a Jedi Assasination is not in his character" they failed to see things untill they fell into their laps. Then when they realise the situation they run off half assed, losing quite a few Jedi for the sake of rescuing a Padawan, his Master, and a Senator. The assault on Geonosis would have been necessary however they could have gona about it better.
Yodas refusal to admit to the senate that their Force powers had deminshed was pure arrogance.
what IS the White Current?

Wan't the excat quote sumthing like: "You know milady he was once a Jedi, he couldn't assasinate anybody. It's not in his profile."Lord Pounder wrote:The entire Jedi Council, along with Yoda where very arrogant an faible. The assuault on Geonosis was a perfect example. Really? I pretty ,uch beleived him when he said it was self-preservation.they failed to see things untill they fell into their laps. There are plenty of Jedi-Hating cults out there, or simple crime sydicates that are to afraid of the Jedi to act. If they knew the Jedi's strength were diminished they would find the courage to strike and all hell would let lose.

The white current is different also in that you do things there really subtly, it was something like that even the lightest touch on the force by a Jedi was a thousand times too strong than what is required to exersize force-usage in the ways of the white-current.
In a way the white-current is really really effective given the energy required to do something vs. the result, ALOT more effective than Jedi methods, but it's really really hard to master, and I don't think it can do everything with it that Jedi can, it seems mostly related to secrecy and deception and concealment.

Really? To me it was rather obvious that Yoda decided that telling the Senate would do no good. It does not change the situation at all but it does let lots of people know that the Jedi are vulnerable and thus add ti instability.Lord Pounder wrote: Yodas refusal to admit to the senate that their Force powers had deminshed was pure arrogance.
Lets say that one day the USAF learns that only 1/10th of the US ICBM arsenal is functional. Would you call it arrogance if the Joint Chiefs of Staff decide to not tell the entire Congress this fact? Or would you call it prudence?
That is the sound of inevitability.

If the USAF didn't tell any other service (which is what the Jedi did) and let the strategic planning go on under the assumption that all the ICBM work, that would be extreme arrogance and stupidty. The Jedi apparently haven't told any outside their order that they've been impaired. At the least they should have told the Chancellor and his apparent security council. They did nothing. To borrow a phrase from Londo: "Arrogance and stupidty combined in one package. How very efficient."MrAnderson wrote:Really? The fact is your whole arguement that Yoda is infallible comes apart and so you cannot discard the EU musings and impressions on the Force.
