As soon as the AAT notices the troops, it opens fire, and the troops return in kind. None of their shots penetrate. The commander gives an order, and we see a clone trooper descend from above on a rope, landing behind the AAT. This trooper climbs on top of the AAT, shoots the hatch off, and enters. Then he fires several shots from inside, which penetrate and exit the tank.

I don't know how you could miss that. How do you think the tank was destroyed?
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

This one I'll take a stab at. In the essentional guide to weapons it says that blasters can fire automatically, but prolonged firing would melt the barrel. Maybe clone trooper rifles are modified to fire at an extremely high rate and once the barrel melts they can unscrew and replace them(think MG-42). Since the clones were in a huge battle and probably well supplied extra barrels would be logistically possible
