Question about ESB
At the end of ESB, is that another galaxy that Luke and Leia are looking at?

Re: Question about ESB
I thought it was their galaxy, just that they jumped far enough away that it would appear like that (they were being chased by the Empire, after all).Mlenk wrote:At the end of ESB, is that another galaxy that Luke and Leia are looking at?
By the way, nice Avatar. Where did you get it?

It's a nebula. It being either the Galaxy or another galaxy would violate the laws of physics:

Nah, don't worry. I won't counter. I wasn't sure what it was anyway, and now that I read what Curtis wrote on his site I can revise my opinion. Thanks!Spanky The Dolphin wrote:It's a nebula. It being either the Galaxy or another galaxy would violate the laws of physics:

Yeah, it's just that we've had some real nimrods in the past try to argue against it (such as Stas Bush, but then again, he was such a loop that it was hard to figure out what exactly he was arguing...), so I decided to be cautious.

Would a star system in the process of forming look anything like what we saw in ESB?

I heard somewhere that it was a forming protostar, im not sure if it was in a documentary, book, WEG sourcebook, or a magazine. I never did believe it was a galaxy.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:Possibly.
Or it could be a star forming, which IIRC would fall under the nebulae category, technically.
