Well, if its abandoned doesn't it make sense to put the palace there? Less to knock down. Not that the Emperor much cared about that...Spanky The Dolphin wrote:Except that was in an abbandoned industrial sector called The Works.

The whole damn area is also overrun with seedy criminals.
Why build in the Worst Part of the Planet when you can just obliterate the home of the evi Jedi sorcerors and put the palace of your New Order in its place?

It is much easier to simply wipe out all the scum in an area were only scum lives, and you wouldn't have to fear colleteral damage. Also the area was much better because it has more space for a bigger building.

The Jedi Temple is a kilometer tall, to give you a sense of scale. There are few large buildings nearby, so I don't see how you couldn't build the Palace it its place after demolishing the Temple.
Building the Palace in the Works strikes me as absurd a notion as building the White House in the middle of Detroit.

It was to my understanding the the palace was still the pyramid, so i am assuming it would look like on of the ones on pg.190.
have you played the Game Tie Fighter?
The Palace is featured in the opening movie of the game.
It is also shown in a cut scene in the game Force Commander

The Palace is not in the industrial region .
We already know it is located in the Imperial (Galactic) City, where the Jedi Temple and Senate Rotunda currently reside.
