Fate of the Death Squadron

Post by Sarevok »

The Executor was destroyed with all of her crew during ROTJ. But what about the other ships of the Death Squadron ? Whay happened to them and their crew after ROTJ ?
I have to tell you something everything I wrote above is a lie.

We should start by identifying as many of the ships as possible. Maybe I'll get to this later.

Was the Avenger Captain Needa's ship? If so, I believe that the Essential Craptology by KJA, has an illustration of an ISD going up in flames, and the caption claims it to be the Avenger.

Wasn't Death Squadron just in ESB?

I believe in a sign of Zeta.

I think, Death squadron is the five destroyers, that escort the Executor the whole time.

Death sqadron consists of:

Executor: Commandship :Destroyed at Endor
Avenger: ISD II : Destroyed at Endor
Accuser: ISD III :Cuptured at Endor and renamed Emancipator, destoryed at Dark Empire through a world devastator
Devastator: ISDI : Destroyed at Endor
Entor: ISD ? :Damaged at Hoth (but catching the giant snail) status then unknown.
Tyrant: ISD I : Disabled at Hoth, staus after that unknown.

The Tyrant was captured around the conflict with Zsinj while it was refueling. It was then used as Leia's Flagship renamed the Rebel Dream. It was then recaptured by the Imperials during the battles with Admiral Jiriss aganist Admiral Ackbar following Zsinj's destruction. Later on, it recaptured by the Rebels, and used in New Republic Operations on Borleias and helped defeat Former Yuuzhan Vong Warlord Maal Lah. It' survived the battle and probably survived the war. I don't what became of the original Imperial crew.
