It's stated that the immelmann is still in use, and we see SW fighters behave similarly to airplanes while in space (banking while turning), possibly as a result from thrust vectoring and/or gyro. Nevermind that it was never stated that the maneuver is used in space.
Alright, you got me confused here. Is or is not the Immelmann and other acrobatic maneuvers used in space combat, or just in atmospheric conditions?
The most basic assumption about the world is that it does not contradict itself.

It's called the Immelman Turn. Defined as a pre-spaceflight maneuver still in use by starfighters. Doesn't say if its used in space or not. There's nothing more to go on.
