Star Wars Corporations
Which Corporations in Star Wars would make the most credits in a year? KDY, Rendilli, Fondor, Seinar, Akryd, pretty much all types ranging from ships to droids to duplicators? In the timelines of Old Republic, Empire, and New Republic.
Proud member of GALE Force.
Can't say for the Old or New Republic, but during the Empire's time I would bet KDY made the most, considering that they made the star destroyers, and the Empire had tens of thousands of them. The Kuati's must've been rolling in credits.

The last level should involve (but not be limited to) multiple robo-Hitlers and a gorillasaurus rex."--Uraniun235 on his ideal FPS game

Dont forget Industrial Automaton, manufacturers of that famous series of astromech droids
Must be millions (billions) of droids, and SFS probably ran TIE production lines like stamping out cookies, but agree, KDY with the big-ticket items like ImpStars leads the way

"Of course, what would really happen is that in Game 7, with the Red Sox winning 20-0 in the 9th inning, with two outs and two strikes on the last Cubs batter, a previously unseen meteor would strike the earth, instantly and forever wiping out all life on the planet, and forever denying the Red Sox a World Series victory..."

I donno, what you suppose Palpy makes them pay in taxes for "limited autonomy"

Well doesn't he? Wasn't it 10% of profits go directly to Imerpial coffers and the CSA gets to run its own show (after a fasion)?Burak Gazan wrote:I donno, what you suppose Palpy makes them pay in taxes for "limited autonomy"
Or are you agreeing with me, and am I too dense to realise this?

Yes and no
Yeah, I agree the CSA makes a ton of cash, but they more of a quasi-provincial government than an honest shipbuilding company like KDY
Honest being relative in the Empire ....

You have to wonder, would there maybe be a Microsoft type corporation in the Empire? Maybe the Empire adopted a uniform type computing system across the galaxy? Here in this world, we take Windows.. somewhat out of choice.. imagine the Empire allows only one OS and has some type of copyright protection going on. So all the legal businesses have to pay for use, be able to port, etc etc.

Especially considering a civilian astromech droid can get past any security system in the galaxy.Trytostaydead wrote:You have to wonder, would there maybe be a Microsoft type corporation in the Empire? What about the shipping company Xizor Transport Systems? I remember reading something a while ago about XTS carrying a third of the SW galaxy's trade... If this is so, then they must be a truly monstrous corporation.

I'd say a three-way tie between SoroSuub(which makes a TON of products, and employs half the population of Sullust in its own operations), KDY(although that may have declined with the loss of their Imperial Military Contracts), and Tagge Industries(which are a HUGE umbrella of industries and corporations controlled by the Tagge Family).

^I think it made a deal with the New Republic to avoid being conquered. And wouldn't Tendrando industries be profitable thanks to the YV-droids?

The Corporate Sector Authority is not a corporation in of itself.
