You Love Star Wars ... But Does Star Wars Love You?

Post by Bob McDob »

Found this scale that measures feelings regarding Star Wars. Since the author says it needs field testing ... woo!
SCALE:
0.0 - Star Wars is the worst thing in the universe.
2.5 - Complete indifference towards Star Wars.
5.0 - Star Wars is the best thing in the universe.

MODIFIERS:
+/- .5 = Feelings regarding the classic Star Wars movies (Episodes IV-VI).
+/- .5 = Feelings regarding the new Star Wars movies (Episodes I-III).
+/- .2 = Feelings regarding the classic Star Wars games (Pre XvT).
+/- .2 = Feelings regarding the modern Star Wars games (Post XvT).

+/- .1 = Feelings regarding the classic Star Wars comics (Marvel).
+/- .1 = Feelings regarding the modern Star Wars comics (Dark Horse).
+/- .2 = Feelings regarding the classic Star Wars novels (Pre Jedi Academy).
+/- .2 = Feelings regarding the modern Star Wars novels (Post Jedi Academy).
+/- .1 = Feelings regarding Star Wars fandom.
+/- .1 = Feelings regarding the Star Wars toy lines (past and present).
+.1 = I have seen every episode of "Droids" and "Ewoks".
+.1 = I have seen the Star Wars Holiday Special & both "Ewoks" movies.
+.1 = I camped in line for more than 24 hours to see a Star Wars movie.
-.1 = I missed one more more first showing (of the special editions and the new movies).
-.1 = I completely gave up on following the novels, games, cards, toys or comics (if I ever did).
-.1 = I am disappointed by the current state of the Star Wars franchise.

According to that, I got a 3.5, but I personally would put myself higher because I give more weight to some categories than I do others. For example, I couldn't care less about most Star Wars toys (the only Star Wars toys I collect are the LEGOs), but I care a lot about the video games.

But I think the test is a pretty cool idea.

And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

Lets see... 2 + the middle of 2.5 = 5.5

Hmm, with the last 6, do they go both ways as well?
