well, I remember from the rotj movie, where the ships enter hyperspace - a few squadrons of fighters, under a dozen cap ships. it seems unlikely that the scene would just show a first wave, but even if it did, having three times that many ships meant little. a minor corporation in peaceful times has shown more of a production. I think that this goes along with the idea that the rebels were a very minor threat to the empire.
This day is Fantastic!

I always thought atleast 2 Star Destroyers surrendered. The Emancipator was one of them and i forget the name of the other. Both are mentioned in the X-Wing books.Robert Treder wrote:

There was one source, I think the Bakura Sourcebook, that stated that the fleet battle continued for four hours after the DS was destroyed before Pellaeon called the retreat. In that time, not one Imperial ship surrendered, though several were destroyed.
The rest, as you know, is history.

They didn't surrender, they were salvaged and repaired after the Imp crews scuttled them.
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

Er, looking at the rebel fleet at Endor, if they comprised a majority of their forces, how did they fight an Empire with a million ships?

I made a thread about it. Do a search for the topic "an interpretation of the OT".HemlockGrey wrote:Er, looking at the rebel fleet at Endor, if they comprised a majority of their forces, how did they fight an Empire with a million ships?
Basically, the Rebel Alliance were never a significant threat, and they didn't really 'fight' the Empire. They were a thorn in the side. If the Emperor hadn't been killed, would destroying the DS2 made any difference? No. Luke was the important one, the Emperor were never tearing themselves up about the oh-so-scary Rebel Alliance.
Really, run a search.
