ROTJ? As stated earlier, there isn't even an order of Jedi. How can you base arrogance on one Jedi Knight for an entire breed of people in the past?
Um.... where in any movie does a Jedi Knight strike down a bartender? Are you sure you even know your Star Wars? If you think a Jedi struck down a bartender in one of the movies, your mistaken and obviously not well versed in Star Wars history in itself then.

Shep is right, Mon Mothma is a complete moron in terms of military leadership. Maybe she was a decent politician, but she valued political correctness higher than common sense, as clearly shown by the fact she wanted the Executor-class decomissioned.
Mon Mothma was just a wimpy politician who was pissed off at the Empire because she saw the privileges of the Senators (ie her own) in danger after Palp took over the leadership.
It were men like Ackbar and Wedge, military leaders, who really beat the Empire.Yep..... she was a jack-off alright. She just led the Rebel Alliance into beating your precisous Empire. ROFL! The Empire got beat by a girl!

The Executor-class ship was largely seen as a waste in the SW galaxy. Actually, it is. ISDs were fully capable of handling entire star systems alone. So to build SSDs, and especially since the New Republic doesn't have to impose fear among its people, is much more of a waste than it was to the Empire.

No, she is dead. I can't remember when she dies though.Crazy_Vasey wrote: Mon Mothma did a pretty good job of holding the republic together IMO she was a good leader.
Is she still alive by the time of the NJO?
Maybe that's why they are called Command ships. The Executor-class ship was largely seen as a waste in the SW galaxy. Actually, it is. ISDs were fully capable of handling entire star systems alone. Yeah, I think only one was originally intended for Darth Vader to use as a flagship. But I guess the other Imperials got too greedy and wanted some too. lol

Executor class purpose:
-intimidation
-a nearly invincible mobile base for commanders
-creating a massive overweight in fleet engagements
and they do their job extremely good.

Lusankya was built at the same time as Executor but at the Fondor shipyards, ie it was originally planned that there should be more than one ship of that class.Yeah, I think only one was originally intended for Darth Vader to use as a flagship. Executors? Invincible?!
Not by a long shot. Executors are undergunned(from observed volume of fire during ROTJ), slow, oversized, and undershielded against an opponent who can actually bring a number of superheavy capitals to the table(As seen by the victory of the Mon Cal's over it).

But they're big, even bigger than ISDs. While an ECS's worth of ISDs by volume can take out an ECS, an ECS is capable of taking damage and dishing it out. Think of it like the Death Star. The DS was a waste of money, but the Empire could afford it. The same with ECSs

That's why I wrote nearly invincible which means invincible in most normal situations the whole rebel fleet was concentrating fire on the ship, and it's bridge shields failed, yeah that's a true weakness.SirNitram wrote:Executors? Invincible?!

Look at it that way although the rebel fleet was concentrating fire only the bridge shield failed and the ship took only minimal damage.
