He also enjoyed the nod to The Adventures of Don Juan, where Don Juan (Errol Flynn) is putting the lip-lock on Lady Catherine (Mary Stuart) with Max Steiner's violins welling up in the background. When she says "Hurry, my husband will be back soon!" and he responds "Husband?", the violins slam on the brakes -just like in this scene where Padme pulls away from Anakin. If you found it amusing, you get Star Wars. If you didn't, you either have no sense of humor* ) or are afflicted with Nerd Rage.

Well, to be fair, most of the fans of Star Wars have no idea where it actually comes from. The haven't even heard of the influences, let alone have seen them.

Now see I think that is the best "love" scene in the PT. It is also one of the few scenes were Hayden Christensen pulls off the scene perfectly. The whole subtle "What?" expression was spot on. The best complaint I have heard about that scene was a friend telling me he didn't like it because it hit too close to home.

Meh put me in with srelax. My idea of campy fun is swashbuckling action with campy-yet-witty banter like the opening scenes of EP3. That's why I don't share as much disdain for the battle as some. I know that it could have been done better with dogfighting action a la Yavin rather than the buzz droids (although they did let artoo show his mettle yet again.) but some people were expecting a redux of the battle of endor and that just wasn't going to happen.
