I was like 9 or 10 when I read them. I thought they were pretty cool at the time.

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

How the hell did this series of kiddie books make it into continuity? When I read them, I clearly remembered seeing a disclaimer stating that the books were NOT officially authorized.

Yes, we must burn this 'official' material, especially if it was also written by KJA.

Not only that - how the heck could he let his son be a three-eyed freak?? With the genetic tailoring possible in the Star Wars galaxy??

By the way, there were rumours about Palpatine having an affair with Ysanne Isard...

(although overuse of The Dark Side of the Force probably left Palpatine somewhat impotent....)

According to Illuminatus Primus, who seems to know his stuff pretty well, KJA referenced it in the Essential Chronology (which I have yet to read, but ought to).

Which is hardly reliable. It includes everything including stuff that has been more or less ruthlessly purged. It's got everything in it to an extent. I find it far more telling that it's been ignored, mostly, by the EU at large and in some ways flat out contradicted.

One thing that has been referenced is Zorba the Hut, who is Jabba's father. He was originally from these books, and was referenced in Rebel Dawn, IIRC.

Like I said, some of it's been included else where while the main thrust of the stories have been tossed aside by the rest of the EU.

I think that Hologram Fun World (one of Lando's "crazy schemes") was reference in the Essential GT Characters.

Well Ismaren was in the book Rebel Stand, he was Lord Nyax then.

No, It was only a rumor that the kid was Palpatine's. He wasn't really.
