Also, if the droid was Force-sensative.
Course it was a Peter David Star Wars Tales story so it's completely inadmissable

He was capable of Gand intuition, and believed he could train himself in the Force. They never answered the question.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:4-LOM was NOT Force sensitive, you moron!!

Well, I wouldn't put that much faith in the words of a Clone-Mad nutjob like C'baoth. And it would be pretty hard to lift R2 around with the Force if Luke could have only done it through levitating the living things attached to it.Lord Pounder wrote:Jorrus C'aboath(sp?) claimed that droids where abominations. Then why would Luke (apparently) rule out the possibility of an assassin droid?Shinova wrote:I asked this same question on a different board and the people there said that Luke didn't actually sense anyone on the other side of the door, so assumed that it must be Threepio.Lord Poe wrote:Luke able to sense C3P0

I guess because he didn't feel any danger like he would if it were an assassin droid.Lord of the Farce wrote:Then why would Luke (apparently) rule out the possibility of an assassin droid?

Yet Luke did start to reach for his lightsabre, and it was the "sense of the creature coming through the doorway" that made him stop.Shinova wrote:I guess because he didn't feel any danger like he would if it were an assassin droid.Lord of the Farce wrote:Then why would Luke (apparently) rule out the possibility of an assassin droid?

Meh, I don't know. I've never read Heir to the Empire so this is really all speculation.Lord of the Farce wrote:Yet Luke did start to reach for his lightsabre, and it was the "sense of the creature coming through the doorway" that made him stop.

No he wasn't. He thought that if he could succeed in actually performing intuition, that he could somehow combine it with his perceived impecable logic and probability calculating.CaptainChewbacca wrote:He was capable of Gand intuition, and believed he could train himself in the Force. Mad a a bucket of soapy frogs he may have been, however he did have tremendous power and his assessment that droids where "unique" on their impact on the force should not be ignored. Remember in that scene Luck agreed with him that droids where different to biologicals.Lord of the Farce wrote:Well, I wouldn't put that much faith in the words of a Clone-Mad nutjob like C'baoth.
