Given there's supposed to be a whole "balance to the Force" plot thing going, I doubt that the Dark Side is really meant to be stronger than the Light side. In the Prequel-era its quite obvious the Dark Side is stronger. So I doubt it can't be said conclusively which is stronger.
Besides, both light and Dark side are still the same thing - the Force, and since its manifestation usually relies on the wielders, the strength of a given "side" is going to depend on the wielder. One might say Sith are individually more powerful, but that numerically the Jedi bring far more combined power to bear (ignoring the whole "shroud of the darkside" bit for a moment, since thats a separate factor.)

The sides of the Force are equal in power, it's the power and skill of the Force-user that matters.
ie. no Padawan is going to beat a rested, cautions Sith Lord in a force-only fight.
i.e Darth Sidious would have roasted Kenobi, where Maul was just playing with him, stupid Maul.
Case in point
Anakin vs Dooku; Anakin got a little brash, Dooku took his arm and sent him flying, then stood up to Yoda, but had to flee before Yoda
