Mace Windu. The man is undoubtably a bad motherfucker. I'm currently readinf Shatterpoint and although the plot made me want to rip out my eyes and pickel them, the techniques and fighting skills Mace teaches his students are awsome. He is the only master of the 7th Lightsaber Style.

Her death is depicted in Star Wars Tales but she is well noted as the Jedi Master who trained Aurra Sing

The Dark Woman, was the master of Jedi Master Kum Adi? (The cone-headed master in TPM & AOTC). She also died quite spectaculary in combat with Darth Vader.

I've got to go with Yoda. He's the only Jedi who's ever defeated a Sith in the movies without getting freaked out or anguished. Luke didn't strike down Vader in ROTJ until he said he'd turn Leia if he couldn't get Luke, and young Obi-Wan couldn't beat Maul until Qui-Gon died. Yoda just walks in and sends Dooku running. If I was going for the Dark Side, I'd have to choose Vader.

I have already picked Obi-Wan (OT IIRC), but I suspect that a lot of people are picking Yoda on the mistaken belief that his incredible apptitude in the Force somehow is transmitted via osmosis to their most likely pathetic natural abilities to use the Force... :)

I picked Yoda because he's like a Zen master. :)

Vergere, hands down. I just like her outlook on life, and the way she presents the Force; a balance between light and dark. Her teachings seem to be centered more on independent thinking than those who just tout a blind adherence to tradition.

I picked Obi-wan PT because:

1. Your gonna be spending years with your Master, and the relationship between teacher and student is closer that immediate family. The person you chose should really be someone you can stand. Yoda's backward speak would be annoying as hell after a day or so, and hey at least Obi drinks and frequents bars.

2. Having a Council member as a teacher while cool; could be pretty boring, when a wars not going on they don't seem to do much. I could just see running around as Yoda's page boy!

3. Plus, Obi-wan is alot more forgiving of mistakes, than the others mentioned.

I like Qui-Gon. He seems like a nice guy who knows his shit. He reminds me of my dad also.

All of you talking about Yoda will make you the ultimate Jedi, Quigon is so wise, Mace is a badass, forget the jedi, I'm going sith, yadda yaddda yadda, are missing one key, important point.

If young Obi-wan is your instructor, you get to fuck Natalie Portman.

Concession accepted.

I went for OT Yoda. I've always loved the ESB training scenes. Qui-gon and OT Obi-wan were tied for second choice. All the rest can go to hell, frankly.

Hard choice, though OT Obi-wan did get Luke to stop whining IIRC, that's gotta be worth something! However while with PT OB1 you get to bang Natalie Portman, with OT OB1 you might end up banging your sister, that's gotta count against him!

(on a slightly related note, does anyone have a link to that "whine like a bitch and i'll slap you like one" SW spoof comic?)

I'd go with Secura. Why? Well, I've a thing for Twi'leks.

From the list, Yoda. You know he gets all the chicks.

Or Palpy could teach you control mind. And then you don't become a cripple. And if Obi-Wan teaches you, that doesn't necessarily mean that you are Anakin, so there's a way bigger chance of you porking Padme if Palpatine teaches you.

Anyone who votes for Kenobi should get a boot in the ass. The fucker can't teach a bird how to fly without it turning to the Dark Side.
