the visor does look stupid but it's is a definete transition stage from clonetrooper to stormtrooper, looks decent at least

Actually, the visor is probably there because they don't want to reveal the eye area of the helmet just yet.

My 1st reaction is when did Heordi Laforge get sword into the Grand Army of the Republic. My second reaction is how is his holding the binoculars up without any hands.

They're attached to his helmet.

And the visor is only there on certain troops, as confirmed by an interview with some Lucasfilm affiliate thats on TF.N right now.

Truthfully at this point, I really don't care that much about how it looks. The visuals have never been the weak point in the prequels.

I'd much rather have someone talk about how good the script and plot is rather than a picture of a helmet or 3 minutes of footage.

The Delta-7 Aethersprite is being merged with the cockpit 'ball' of the TIE Fighter for Episode III.

Argh. Why don't you guys post these useful facts in the spoiler thread? I could've used this stuff, guys.

I know thread necromancy is bad but I figured it would be silly to start a whole new thread for this topic.

Anyway, THIS picture surfaced with a more detailed view of the new clones.

To be quite honest, I don't like how they look in the pics at all. Hopefully the final versions will be more refined.

IP, I'm sure it was posted in the EP3 spoiler thread too. It was around the time that the new Republic ship pictures etc came out.

EDIT: I like the EP3 Clonetrooper personally.

Personally I think they look fine. A perfect transition design between the Ep2 and Ep4 designs.

I agree. The eye area is actually a lot like what I expected.

I wasn't being specific. I have no problem with the armor and helmet design. The customized paint schemes are what look a little odd to me. I just hope all of the clones don't have paint . At very least they should limit the paint to clone officers and NCO's like they did in EP2. And I wasn't too keen on that idea back then either.

I think the paint schemes are probably ideas. They'll stick with one style and go for it (choosing different colors for different ranks, like last time)
