HIMS Eclipse was destroyed over Da Soocha V a.k.a. the "Pinnacle Moon" in Hutt Space, the site of the New Republic government-in-exile and NRDF High Command, by one of Palpatine's own Force storms.
HIMS Eclipse II had her engineering sections invaded by New Republic commandos in orbit around Onderon while a diversionary attack was launched by the NRDF, where R2-D2 attached to the engineering computers and helped sabotage them. Palpatine's paranoia likely lead to, like the World Devestators, central overriding control based on a simple system. The reprogrammed engineering level computer cores siezed control of the command ship's drives, and jumped into hyperspace. Emerging from hyperspace in Byss orbit, it deaccelerated and smashed into the firing Galaxy Gun weapon, releasing an armed and energized projectile that failed to make the jump into hyperspace, and thus turned on the nearest planetary target: Byss. The projectile detonated, and the exotic nucleonic chain-reaction consumed Byss and destroyed the extensive Byss Shipyards and Byss reserve fleets in orbit, as well as the under-construction Soveriegn-class ships, and the damaged command ship, HIMS Eclipse II.
No other Eclipse-class or Soveriegn-class ships were constructed.
