Hey, Yoda's 900 years old, and he's more renowned as the wisest. And besides, Palpatine is a hundred bajillion years old and he can make worm holes, so age really isn't an issue. And any good enough Jedi/Sith can deflect Force lightning.willburns84 wrote:Mace Windu is cool, I agree, but to have an eighty plus year old human hold his own against the most powerful Jedi (at the time) in lightsaber combat, not to mention deflecting away the Force lightning thrown back at him makes Tyranus simply incredible in my book.

Well, I bring up the age issue as a VERY obscure reference to Episode One's novelization where it is mentioned that Qui-Gon (who is presumably more skilled all around in the Force because of his age and experience) was getting tired (the Force wasn't sustaining him like an endless reserve of energy and strength) after fighting with someone like Maul who was so much younger.Shroom Man 777 wrote:Hey, Yoda's 900 years old, and he's more renowned as the wisest. Then that must mean that Yoda too is facing a lot of complications.willburns84 wrote:Well, I bring up the age issue as a VERY obscure reference to Episode One's novelization where it is mentioned that Qui-Gon (who is presumably more skilled all around in the Force because of his age and experience) was getting tired (the Force wasn't sustaining him like an endless reserve of energy and strength) after fighting with someone like Maul who was so much younger.
As seen at the end of the fight when he had to gimp around on his cane. Yoda is just much stronger with the Force, and can compensate much better.Shroom Man 777 wrote:Then that must mean that Yoda too is facing a lot of complications.willburns84 wrote:Well, I bring up the age issue as a VERY obscure reference to Episode One's novelization where it is mentioned that Qui-Gon (who is presumably more skilled all around in the Force because of his age and experience) was getting tired (the Force wasn't sustaining him like an endless reserve of energy and strength) after fighting with someone like Maul who was so much younger.
