Portman can act alot better than she did in Episode II. It was probably her time of the Month or something.

Yeah, you're right. I should have said better in SW.

Again to defend both Christensen and Portman, Ep. 2 for both of them wasn't either of their best performances, but it certainly wasn't either of their worst. Outside of Star Wars, Portman has won acclaim for many of her other roles. She was excellent in The Professional and a few other films, and I hear alot of good thing s about her peroformance in the Diary of Anne Frank. As for Christensen wasn't he nominated for a Golden Globe for Life as a House?

There perfomances may not have been up to par with some of their other works but this is Star Wars were talking about. It may get recognition from time time for acting (i.e. Alec Guiness's Oscar Nomination). But Oscar caliber performances aren't to be expected, but certainly not horrble ones either, and i think theiy both did good jobs, not their best but it satisfied me to a degree.

True, but it's SW. They should have at least tried a bit harder. Unless the pressure got to them.

And, it's Leon okay, not The Professional, Leon is the correct title.

Perhaps Portman was trying to act clunky. After all, in real life, not every couple goes from talking to making out in 15 seconds.

Still, I think she could do much better.

Exactly my point! She Can. Her performance wasn't her best, but it certainly wasn't an awful performance in any way.
