If taking some of the ships to the chop shop for re-fitting is an option, I'd probably go with the following:

12 Missile Boats: Ossus hit the nail on the head in his post. As a warhead platfom, they'd be highly effective in capital ship killing, and the SLAMs would allow them to zip into an enemy's territory for scans before bugging out to report back in.

42 Cutlass-9 Patrol Fighters (Modified: blaster cannons replaced with full-fledged laser cannons, other general modifications to meet military requirements): given the data from the NEGVV, these little bastards would make for decent standard fighters and interceptors. With the engine fully cranked, the only ships that could keep pace with them woul be the A-Wing or a Missile Boat with the SLAMs engaged, and would thus make for excellent first response craft. The cockpit design also looks as though it gives pilots a decent advantage, as its domed nature allows for a full 360 degrees of sight on the horizontal axis.

12 Skipray Blastboats: with their heavy armorment, they could prove as a useful aid to the Missile Boast for the bombardmentof enemy capita ships, but could also be religated to aid in captures thanks to the incusion of Ion cannons in the design.

6 TIE Defenders: Due to the extremily high poduction costs of the craft, they'll be assigned strictly to aces for use in special operations, though may also be employed for dogfighting during standard combat operations and for aiding the blastboats in capturing enemy craft.
This has been another blunder by you friendly local idiot.

Goodbye fighters, goodbye capships.
"Death before dishonour" they say, but how much dishonour are we talking about exactly? I mean, I can handle a lot. I could fellate a smurf if the alternative was death.

Incidentally, Jag Fel's Chiss clawcraft is a heck of a weapons platform. It seems to be easily comparable to anything that the Galaxy proper can offer. If I could get that thing in a production model, it might give the TIE Defenders a run for their money in my multipurpose squadron.

The claw craft is an interesting platform. It looks so organic. do they ever explain how it is built? Is it a knock off Tie?

It has TIE components, but it's not clear how much of it is native to the Chiss system and how much of it owes to its TIE lineage.
