The handle is made from phrik, a durable alloy also used in the construction of the experimental "Dark Trooper" battle droids at General Mohc's Arc Hammer space-going factory.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:No. I've actually never heard that before.wolveraptor wrote:Also, isn't it true that the handle of his lightsabre is made of some alloy that cannot be cut by lightsabres?
While it's true that there are some metals that cannot be or are difficult for a lightsabre to cut through (mostly due to things like density or other properties), I've never heard of such a material being used for a sabre handle.

Proof? That makes Luke pretty damn incredible by DE then.
He takes on Agen Kolar, Mace Windu, Saesee Tinn and Kit Fisto all at once- two of them- Agen Kolar and Mace Windu, are two of "the greatest bladesbeings" the Order had produced according to the novelization- and kills Agen Kolar and Saesee Tinn practically instantaneously, and Kit Fisto very soon after that. When you've got four opponents, all Jedi Masters, two of them being utterly superb, that's pretty impressive. Mace Windu manages to knock his sabre out of his hand, but given what occurs during the scene and the fact that he goes on to put Yoda to flight, he let himself be put in a situation where Anakin would have to save him.
I think there's also a Nick Gillard quote to that effect, but yeah, from the film alone, it's pretty clear how awesome he is.

Just something along the lines of how uber Palpatine is. I don't have it on me unfortunately. It's one of those things cut and pasted in forums.Illuminatus Primus wrote:

Basically in the tens are Palpatine and Yoda, with even Mace only being a Nine.
