A human genetically altered with Ysalimari DNA, so he has the same force-cancelling effect that they do.

Would that fly? The SW universe dosen't seem happy with bionics; cross-species DNA play might be considered beyond the pale, except for the Vong.

Perhaps you noticed just how well they did against Yoda and Obi-wan (who are, granted, two of the most powerful/skilled Jedi) in the Temple?

It is also worth noting that the Clonetroopers used two very simple tactics against the Jedi-- surprise, and numbers. Even so, the loss rate was pretty major-- even a Padawan managed to down three or four out of a group of perhaps five to ten clonetroopers, including the ones that were chasing him (the scene where Bail Organa comes to the Temple). In fact, onscreen, Aayla Secura was the only Jedi who didn't take down a few clonetroopers with her.

I imagine that once a Jedi knew that he would be chased, he'd be extremely on guard; "I, Jedi" indicated that with proper training, a Jedi could keep tabs on an area the size of a city block, at least. While this is EU, I expect it's certainly not impossible for a PT Jedi.

Sad fact of the matter is, I reckon that unless you go for wankitanium or handwaviti-tech, plain ol' heavy explosives or massed fire is the best way to deal with Jedi if they know you're coming. If they don't, though, then you're lucky... you hope.

Plo Koon didn't take any Clonetroopers with him either, infact Aayla was closer to taking out those killed her (she had her lightsaber out by the time the troopers shot her)

Ah, right. My bad. And there was that Jedi on the speeder? But regardless, aside from those and the offscreen example of Quinlan Vos (in the comic, IIRC) the great majority of Jedi attacked by clonetroopers managed to take down several before being overwhelmed by massed fire. Massed fire has the danger of collateral damage. To be sure, droids wouldn't particularly care about collateral damage, nor would clonetroopers, though I imagine the one on the receiving end would have something to say about that... :P

take 1 yslamimi, a launching device, and 1 thermal detonator.

attach thermal detonator to yslamiri.

activate thermal detonator.

launch yslamiri/thermal detonator at Jedi/Sith.

Boom.

What about the blaster things the genoshans used? They have handhelds of those. I would get one of the jedi training droids from Jedi academy and give it four arms. In one arm, A training saber. In the next hand A genoshan bubble gun. In the next hand, a flame thrower. final hand, a electro shocking device. Artificail Force lightning, two unblockable weapons, and a lightsaber. The electro shock device would be mounted like the blasters on the Super Battle Droids. With the free manipulating hand, It could access the Automatic Sniper blaster or other things. It would carry the A.S.B (like the ones used by the battle droids in the episode of the clone wars with the big thing on the speeder bike that took out lots of clone artillery) on a thing across its back. It would have a head like a IG-88 Droid only with 5 rotating sections. Three photocepters, a ultra violet eye, and an Infared eye. It would also have a sensor pack.

You know the Grenade firing Machine-gun? Make one of those that fires Thermal Detonators. Mount on Lightsaber-Training droids. Lightsaber in one hand and machine-gun o' doom in the other. Give 'em Droideka style sheilds too. And plate the things with Cortosis incase they get through the sheild. 8) It may not be the ultimate per se, But they would be deadly in packs.

As sad as it is the NJO Vozyn were most effective, acid breathing/bleeding creatures that were immune to the force and were surrounded by the DS, they could also sense jedi, just improve their natural armour a bit more.
sorry for mentioning that abomination[/size]

Well, they were engineered specifically to hunt down and eradicate the Jedi, and yes they are technically abominations. Whats the big deal?

That's the two most powerful Jedi they had and besides, Obi-Wan was already leaving when Commander Cody had his gunner take a shot at him. It wasn't like he was surrounded by Clonetroopers.
I don't recall Ki-Adi-Mundi actually killing any of the clonetroopers who gunned him down and he was one of the top fighting Jedi they had. There weren't hundreds of clonetroopers facing him either. Aside from some fancy lightsabrin', he went down and went down quick in the face of gunfire.

You'll also notice that the Padawan jumped them while they were focused on Bail Organa, but once the Padawan attacked them, he died a dog's death.

Besides, losing a few clonetroopers per Jedi is a major win for the Clonetroopers. After all, there weren't more than 10,000 Jedi total. A few Clonetroopers on the Jedi is very much acceptable losses.
I imagine that once a Jedi knew that he would be chased, he'd be extremely on guard; "I, Jedi" indicated that with proper training, a Jedi could keep tabs on an area the size of a city block, at least. While this is EU, I expect it's certainly not impossible for a PT Jedi.

Clonetroopers have plenty of firepower to throw at the Jedi and demonstrated it in RotS. The fact that only two of the Jedi managed to survive the pogrom and they were the very best should indicate that the Clonetroopers in the end outmatched the Jedi.

In the RPG a character with Quickdraw and a lot of grenades can do the trick rather effectively.

From the movies, the following have killed Jedi:

-A Sith Lord w/ lightsaber or saberstaff
-Jango Fett with a single pistol
-A squad of Republic Stormtroopers (about 6-10) armed with carbines
-speeder bike forced to crash by other speeder bike cannons
-starfighter forced to crash by other starfighter cannons
-large army of battledroids/super battledroids with blasters
-Geonosian "sonic cannon" carrying warriors
-A Droideka (okay, not killed, but clearly threatened enough to Force the Jedi to flee, twice)

Apparently the troopers who were with Obi-Wan felt a single cannon shot from their tank was enough to kill Kenobi in that situation.

Now one could say the above were under special conditions and if we rule out using other Force users, then multiple Droidekas seem like the best of the bunch.

One of three things, Planet destroying bio ships (I said bio so it could still count as solders) e.g. 8472 esk.

Robot with weapon that fires bio bomb grenades which look just like normal grenades and explode as well with the virus spreading over 1km area with in a few seconds, the virus will kill in 1 days time(so the Jedi cant use precog to know to use anti poison or stop breathing force power.)-this may fail against people with more than slit second precog like Anakin.

Robot with nuke (not mini nuke) on a dead man swich.

-Jango Fett with a single pistol
Wasn't it two blaster pistols?
:P

In any event its clear that the Jedi can be killed by conventional means, its just not a sure thing (dont expect to walk up to a Jedi alone with a blaster rifle and win.)

just one, but several blasts (and one shot from this pistol killed the Reek).

Do concussion rifles make it in? If so, the Jedi are SO fucked.... Beam's too wide to deflect, and it's nice and deadly. Couple it with heavy armor, magnetic gloves and a ysalamiri, and we got ourselves an anti-Jedi killer...

If we go by the Jedi academy games then they can deflect it with force tk

He took down two by deflecting blaster bolts at them.

How about at quick droid with a big bomb. Given just a few kilotons the droid wouldn't have to get very close before it can detonate it's weapon killing the Jedi. This would ofcourse cause considerable collateral damage.

The jedi could activate the bomb with tk unless the range was very large=expensive, if so then numbers wouldnt help since one droid exploding would destroy the strike force.

So, you would be shooting them with small, furry animals. :wtf:
Good plan. :P
It would be better to just keep the Ysalamari on person, under an armor plate or something.
