The only path I'd go down is Grey... it's free of both Dogma and Evil.
Why don't jedi fly?

there power/bonus called Dark/Light side mastery which you get only if you're fully dark/light.Dakarne wrote:Proof?but it's also weaker then either side.

off course it's non-canon, but in canon the grey choice is impossible.Dakarne wrote:Gameplay Mechanics, not canon apparently

Thats not really true, but "gray" Jedi do typically end up falling to one side or the other. Still, "gray" Jedi can exist (Verger, Bindo, etc.)Lord Revan wrote:off course it's non-canon, but in canon the grey choice is impossible.Dakarne wrote:Gameplay Mechanics, not canon apparently

I am astonished someone would be foolish enough to say something of that nature here.
Kind of funny actually.

Jolee Bindo is not neutral when it comes to the Force, as he does not agree with usage of the Dark Side. He's characterized as grey simply because he became disillusioned with the existing Jedi Order and left.Dakarne wrote:So Jolee Bindo shouldn't Exist within Continuity!off course it's non-canon, but in canon the grey choice is impossible.
Are you George Lucas? No? Then what you accept or don't accept as Star Wars canon is meaningless.hilaryduff wrote:I don't accept anything as canon except the movies. No one but nerds read the books.
Lucas was very specific about what gets accepted into the Star Wars continuity, and the books are included.

Great, a purist, and an insulting one at that. I'll bring the lumber and the stake.
Like it or not, the EU stands as canon. You know that big-ass tank that was in ROTS? Brought forth in the EU, under the moniker of Juggernaut. Palpatine being this bad-ass of bad-asses, able to hold himself against pretty much the best? EU. General Grievous? Yup - EU. If it's got the Lucas logo on it and it doesn't contradict any established material, it counts.
As for that "nerd" shot, I think I'll leave that to the board's service members and paragons of social activity and participation...

True, one requires a certain aggrerate brainpower to comprehend the written word. Something you have shown a distinct lack of.hilaryduff wrote:I don't accept anything as canon except the movies. No one but nerds read the books.
As to the other part, since your personal opinion amounts to less then a pile of shit, I'll take word given by the people who create these things, whether you care to is your personal perogative, but if you wish to debate on anything in these matters, one should at least understand the rule that apply therein.

If I'm recalling the right incident, that was during a training exercise meant specifically to strengthen Revan's connection to the Force. Thus, it would make sense to have the student doing something which is extremely energy-intensive, for the same reason that people lift weights to boost physical strength. However, the fact that Jedi can levitate when they want to doesn't mean they're going to do it all the time, any more than real people make a habit of carrying weights around.Dakarne wrote:I suppose a Jedi could personally "Levitate" but not actually fly...
Darth Revan is seen levitating a few feet off the floor in Knights of the Old Republic while meditating.
EDIT: And unless you're Goerge Lucas in disguise, the fact that your preferred pesonality for Revan would or would not do a particular thing means diddly squat.

Um, you do realize that this is a board for a site built around the premise of how badly the Empire would kick the United Federation of Planets' ass, right? And how inherently "nerdy" such a concept is, right?hilaryduff wrote:I don't accept anything as canon except the movies. No one but nerds read the books.
Anyway, most non-aligned Force adepts are in fact either Light with a smidgen of Dark powers or Dark with a smidgen of Light powers. I think it has to do with the concept of Light and Dark. Vergere can be considered an exception, because she rejected the concept of Light and Dark.

Sure it does, it's just on a lesser spot on the canon-scale.Darth Yoshi wrote:I believe Mace Windu flies in the Clone Wars cartoon, but I don't think that really counts.
The scene you refer to is the part after Asajj Ventress defeats a myriad of creatures in some arena. Dooku flies/levitates down from several stories. It appeared to cause him no strain whatsoever.
The event itself is official, but Windu's jump is most likely an extreme exaggeration. Canonically, the entire Clone Wars series (at least the first twenty episodes) are a child's retelling of the events (that little kid who gives Windu a drink.)Sure it does, it's just on a lesser spot on the canon-scale.

To go completely off-topic but I didn't even notice Clone Wars had commentaries up until know. Not that I found the first one very interesting. The guy spent most of the time telling you what was happening on the screen and interspersing it with the word cool at random intervals.NecronLord wrote:So say the commentries on my disk.Kenoshi wrote:I wonder if that was a nod to the old Coca Cola ad where the kid gives his Coke to a football player.....
