Is it me or do Luke and Paul seem to have very similar personalities at the beginning of RotJ and the end of the 1980's Dune movie?

Anakin did bring blanance to the force, he eliminated the overly large number of Jedi drawing too much on the force, and exterminated the Sith, including himself, leaving behind Luke walking the Gray line between the sides.
And Luke was much kinder to Jabba then the old order would have been. Remember what Mace did on Genosis, walked right up beside Darth Taranus and held a lightsaber to Jango's throut. Much more aggressive then offering a trade with DT and giving him several chances to let his friends go unharmed.

You mean the whole "I'm a badass, it's my destiny to kill you all if you don't do what I say" kind of attitude? Yet he's still cool as ice about it in both cases. Is it me or do Luke and Paul seem to have very similar personalities at the beginning of RotJ and the end of the 1980's Dune movie?
I see what you're saying there, I actually hadn't thought about that until seeing this thread...
In both cases, he thinks he's doing what is best, and only he knows how it all is going to end up, through his power of prescience. "I've taken care of everything" indeed.

Hey, no one said the guards had to come onto the sailbarge.Kurgan wrote:That Luke is one sadistic bastard... he let the guards live, so he could slaughter them wholesale, along with their buddies on the skiff with his lightsaber.
Oh... real nice guy there. ; )

I believe so too. But don't forget that Anakin also went back to the Light Side...except it was a bit late...lol.

"I quit!" Of course, that'll probably get them the rancor treatment, except the rancor is already dead.IRG CommandoJoe wrote:...except their boss, Jabba.

And he would have fed them to the sarlacc. Of course, they would still have to be on the barge for that. Ah, it is a sad lot for the guards.Darth Yoshi wrote:"I quit!"
