Stun Blast
You could use a stun blast to knock them out (like Daala vs. Callista in Darksaber) and then kill them with any weapon you choose. Of course, as I said before you would want to have a ysalamari with you to even the odds.

Those gun nuts do not understand the meaning of "overkill," and will simply use weapon after weapon of mass destruction (WMD) until the monster is dead, or until they run out of weapons.
