One has to live w/ it.
Unfortunately, but I don't mind much.
Anyway, as a writer, Lucas should had everything pretty good outlined, before he even started on the "adventure", his "grand vision" should had been set in stone a long time ago...

He does maintain creative control (as per his right) and he does change his mind.
Which doesn't really matter as Lucas "transgressions" have not been so widely different that retconning is impossible, so it hardly matters when both his and the EU storylines can be integrated.

That doesn't mean I don't want to SEE the retconning attempts...

Oh really, my misstake.

Anyway I doubt you'll get to see any attempts until episode III is out.

On the contrary, I fully expect to see attempts made in the EU works published between now and May 2005 (or whenever Episode III is scheduled to be shown in theaters).

However, Lucas and his crack team of lawyers COULD stop them from doing so if he chose to, until after the movie is out.

I have a feeling that Episode III may not clear it up at all, much like the "Jedi disapearing/not disapearing" questions.

Lucas did once say that Aurra Sing would be a big character in Episode II... he may simply change his mind and not let us in on the stuff.

Oh well... we'll always have the EU.
