Not relevent for the purposes of this topic. The question you should be asking is: Are Missile Boats superior to other bombers available. Now, there are valid arguments for both sides, but saying that the Missile Boat is not realistic and therefore should not be used is a red herring.

Missile Boats will have a hard time against anything with an
excellent anti missile defense. We only get one bomber squadron
and this means getting a more balanced bomber would a better
idea.

Im not trying to use it as a red herring, i'm just saying thats why I don't like them as much as some other people would. That's all personal opinion. They are a tactically excellent starfighter though for use in space operations.

When I ask "are they superior to other availiable bombers" I say no. Based on the fact that their ordinance is on top of the vehicle and would not be effective on operations against ground based targets using ordianance such as a bunker buster or a thermal detonator. Their missles could be used in atmosphere to a good degree, but TIE's fitted with concussion missle launchers and proton torpedo launchers could do the same thing and cost less.

I'm not trying to convince people otherwise this is all a matter of personal preference.
