You mean Jedi vs. Sith, don't you? That's what we're talking about.

I agree, however, like I said above, simply overriding what came before is not the way to go about 'fixing' it. Rather than give Petja a blaster, it could be explained that he's an eccentric and prefers bows because they're more honorable or some such thing.

Oddly, the game KotOR did a better job with this sort of thing-- rather than stamping out the old TotJ comics they expanded and explained it all.

I just finished the book and I think its really good. My only nitpick was the swordmaster at the Sith Academy teaching Form VII/Vaapad when I could have sworn that Mace Windu invented the technique, or at least claimed to have done so.

Darth Bane was a great character, I think the author did a good job at wirting the character be strong but not too wankish. I had feared that he would eventually make Bane into a sort of anti-hero but that fear was put to rest.

I'm proudly putting this on my shelf.

SPOILERS:

My favorite parts include where Bane murders that man and his children to get a rush of energy from the Dark Side to delay the poison, Bane's taking of the "Darth" title, and the levels of deceit at work amidst the sith.

JvS falls under the Tales of the Jedi era under the new classification. So yes, I was talking about it. Had I meand the Great Sith War comics of the Hyperspace War comics I would have berated them for using warbeasts and wooden sticks.

Yes, Chee (and Rostoni) is still around. The only thing that I'm missing after having been banned from the horrid mess which are the OS forums is the possibility to interact with Chee who is always pleasant to discuss with. However, one can't help but wonder what exactly their position is. We've seen many examples of continuity errors lately. Is it their job to 'fix' the continuity after the fact (after the books have been published) as well as guiding the authors or what is it?

It's a long story, but apparently, I "attacked" Karen Traviss. KT made a post here which I responded to: +http://forums.starwars.com/thread.jspa? ... start=1890 The post was of the usual kind: She doesn't care about reviews or criticism, there are a dozen trolls who is running a hate campaign by "stalking, violent hate videos, abuse, obscenities, libel, posting garbage on wikis/ Wookieepedia, trashing my colleagues' blogs if I'm mentioned on them - whose public pledge is, and I quote, to end my career.". I was interested to see what Karen Traviss herself thought the reason was as to why she has become controversial so I posted a reply here: +http://forums.starwars.com/thread.jspa? ... start=1920
Of course, in a post further down on that page, Moose twisted every word I said and put everything which KT posted about on my shoulders (or at least made it look that way). He claimed among other things that I'm part of a "group" which "disrupts" discussions, that I "was warned" and that I'm running a "misinformation campaign". All of this is of course completely false. He also went on to say that she has been "attacked" in her personal blog. I've never posted a comment in her personal blog (or her SW.com blog), I've never e-mailed her and unlike KT and DM, I've never signed on to blogs just to post comments about people who doesn't agree with my position (which is what I meant with "willing participant") I was a member of the OS forums for seven years. In those seven years, I was never warned or otherwise disciplined by a moderator, until I recieved a warning from Dark Moose when I posted in Forum Feedback asking for an apology when I felt that Dark Moose misrepresented my posting behaviour in a post he made (it was a post in Feedback about the Clone Wars Numbers thread on the OS. He claimed that I was "aggressive" and "harassing posters" etc. when I asked him to back up two claims +http://forums.starwars.com/thread.jspa? ... D=15107959). His reason for giving me a warning? I "spammed" Forum Feedback and was being "antagonistic" towards other posters. Yes, that's right. After seven years with a clean record, I was being "antagonistic" towards other posters. Of course, he didn't mention that he ignored every piece of evidence I and others posted and still went on as if his interpretation was the only valid one (+http://forums.starwars.com/thread.jspa? ... D=15108548). At least KT amused herself after I had been banned...

Yes, I'm critical of Karen Traviss. I think it's unaccaptable to call people, who are paying for her novels, "talifans" and the other things which have been stated elsewhere. I didn't care very much about the three million issue myself before the Talifan BS started to emerge (in the beginning I saw it as just another example of EU minimalism, but I was taken aback the first time I saw the word being used by her on the OS forums). It's nothing short of hypocritical to say that she "isn't afraid to use her opinions" while fans who have pointed out flaws etc. are being talked down to, are being called names and then are banned by the personal moderator Dark Moose.
