Newbies beware: If you have not read every book on Star Wars and don't already know all there is to know about its technology, do not come here to discuss it, for sooner or later the almighty Darth Wong will be mortally insulted by your ignorance and make it his life mission to drive you crazy. If you DO decide to come onboard, do not dare to discuss any technical issues, even if you have already read the whole /Empire site twice over. (as I have done) The prerequisite for joining the discussion is to have known ALL about the Star Wars universe already, thus there is no need to discuss anyway. Any deviation from DW's theories will be fatal, especially if based on ignorance; it's impossible to have polite disagreement with DW, or even to ask a straight question without incurring his wrath. He may be the most knowledgeable guy on earth about SW tech, but don't you think about coming here to learn from him if you value your sanity.

I came here knowing less then I do of SW now, but goddamn it I READ THE WEBSITE.

He gives many comprehensive essays and godamn it he puts in a nice logical format with some basic calc knowledge...he even gives ideas of how to further your wants...but you come screaming he's smacking you down because you didn't read the site, which the forums are a mere part of?

No, there wasn't. Mike has a busy life, and hasn't updated yet.

However, this turbolaser theory is in quite a few places, including the TL Commentaries, which are part of this site now.

It's really quite sad. Even after admitting his theory was NFG, he still insists he somehow doesn't deserve to be labelled the loser of the argument. He even went and started a whole thread in his search for validation, and when the poll results didn't turn out to his liking, he deleted the poll!
