Kyp Durron must be impaled. No, really.
He falls prey to the Dark Side, annhilates an entire solar system, and mind-rapes an innocent(sligtly) physicist, and at the end it's just 'the Devil Made Me Do It'. bah
Plus, I spat when I read about the Sun Crusher withstanding a Death Star superlaser blast. What a joke. And the Kessel scene? Total shit.
How the hell do you miss a planet, and hit it's moon, using the friggin' Death Star Superlaser?

Calm down, calm down. First off, on missing the planet and hitting the moon. They had already checked and knew that there was no way to know if the superlaser was properly aligned. When they fired, it proved this and they made necessary adjustments. As for the Sun Crusher taking a blast, if I remember corectly it never did. I know it took a near miss, but that was from a low powered blast. They had dialed down power so that it was sufficient to obliterate the NR capital ships present and Daala's ISD, thus allowing a maximum amount of shots. If the Sun Crusher did in fact take a blast as such, it would have been from a low powered shot.
Now, I'm not trying to justify KJA in any way. This is how it happened in the book and the reasons why they did to clear up any mess. Personally, the Sun Crusher taking any thing close to a superlaser blast was just KJAs way of going 'Ha Lucas. My superweapon is better than yours!'. Of course we all know KJA's stories are shit, so he has to do something.
One last thing, in the ANH novelisation, I think I found a passage that totally wipes Jedi Academy out of any form of continuity. Just as a passage from RotJ novelisation wipes out one of my favorite stories Shadows of the Empire.

Your last complaint can be chalked up to UFP quality computers. Other than that, no idea.

Impale who? Jaina, or Kyp? It may be blindingly obvious to some people, but not to all, and definitely not to me.
