See, this is why all those Jedi were killed.

Personally, I go for Obi-wan Kenobi, any era (PT or OT). He killed Maul. He was outclassed by Dooku, but he survived the duel which means he walked away from the fight wiser than before. He's going to have a duel with Punk Anakin in Episode 3 which he'll walk away from with all limbs attached (the same can't be said for poor Annie). And in the OT he was having no difficulty keeping Vader occupied - Vader was visibly panting while Obi-wan remained cool and collected throughout.

GO OBI-WAN!

Darth is fearsome and intimidating. I can never get the image out of mind in ESB when Luke ignites his lightsabre and you see Darth's silhoutte - then there's this slow *snap-hiss* and a red light emerges from out of the silhoutte. So creepy and cool.

Yoda didn't do much for me - sorry, but multiple flips and wall-bouncing doesn't elicit a "wow" from me.

Dooku was cool, but you just know he's gonna be bitchslapped in Ep.3

Mace is a fool and I don't much care for his leadership or his combat skills.

Anikan is a punk kid who'll turn evil. I give him credit for his taste in women but little else. (As an aside, who here felt the duel between Anikan and Dooku was a little ... off? If you've got the DVD or VHS pop it into the player and take a look - just before Anikan gets his arm chopped off he seems to stop. Was this in the novel - meaning was Dooku doing some freaky mental shit to Anikan which opened him up for a second?)

Maul was cool and a part of me wishes he didn't die at the end of TPM, along with Qui-Gon. But then, people die in swordfights so... *shrugs*

How many times was Yoda referred to as the standard by which all other Jedi Swordsmen are measured?

On the other hand though I remember a tale about Mace Windubeing surrounded by some fifteen powerful warriors and all he did to get out of the conflict was pat his lightsaber still on his belt and say something along the lines of "Do you really want this?"
"If it's true that our species is alone in the universe, then I'd have to say that the universe aimed rather low and settled for very little."
-George Carlin (1937-2008)

"Have some of you Americans actually seen Football? Of course there are 0-0 draws but that doesn't make them any less exciting."
-Dr Roberts, with quite possibly the dumbest thing ever said in 10 years of SDNet.

I read it as "Your choice." His assailants chose not to fight. So what? That just proves one's reputation can be used as a weapon, without necessarily justifying that reputation. (there's an excellent example of this in a ST episode, but I'm not sure if I should include it due to forum rules)

In any case I read that in I think an RPG supplement book. "Power of the Jedi" perhaps?
