I was conjecturing. If it is from the SE, the way to tell would be if the Falcon is firing back at the TIES; that was added for the SE.

The SE IIRC has extra ships added to the background which aren't present in the OT. I have no video capture abilities so I have no way to prove it; sorry. But if you have both versions available it's simply a matter of pausing and squinting. :P

Yeah, once again, it's like me trying to find the Falcon during the battle with the Borg in First Contact.

Okay, I'm now convinced that they are indeed N-B's. It's more likely they were part of the first wave of Rebel ships and are, at the time of this photo, taking the evasive action that Ackbar ordered when the Rebels learned the shield was still up.

I think it was already said in this thread that engines can be set to reverse.

Crix: What's up with the sound in that video? Is that from the DVD rip?

Maybe the camera is moving and the Nebulon B's only seem to be moving backwards in comparison to the faster Mon Cal? And did anyone notice how incredibly small they are to the Mon Cal?! They are IN FRONT of it! WOW that thing is HUGE.

I think there's a good comparison in the shot where the Falcon leads the fighters through the fleet in preparation of their hyperspace jump to Endor. They all pass the Neb quickly, but the Mon-Cal in the rear just keeps going and going and going...
