Could Star Wars in fact be set in a cluster of galaxies, consisting of one large one and several smaller ones of varying sizes?

The "Star Wars" galaxy contains the main galaxy and a smaller satellite galaxy (see the map in AOTC), so I suppose it's possible that there are other galaxies at relatively close distances.

Now in case of Palpatine, He was afraid that the Outbound Flight Project would succed and the Jedi would be able to set up a base out in the middle of nowhere and Palpy wouldnt be able to get to. I know that it took them a long time, but I'm sure that they used some form of hyperspace travel (using their Dovin Bassals to catapult them into FTL speeds.)
