There seems to be a recognition of the shift from "unit" meaning 1 Clone to meaning a legion, a change which LFL has said will occur in future publications.

From commander Thire's EU entry:
Though most clone troopers spent their accelerated formative years on storm-drenched Kamino developing under the careful watch of politically ambivalent scientists, there are two units that were notable exceptions. The red-marked shock troopers and the blue-marked 501st legion were raised and trained on Coruscant shortly following the Battle of Jabiim and increased threats to the galactic capital.
Emphasis Mine

Here, "units" refers to two different legions. Is this of no consequence or a true change in meaning?

Actually, Fel commanded the 181st TIE Fighter Wing, not the 501st.

So wait, those clone troopers in blue helping to cleanse the Temple are actually the 501st Vader's Fist unit?

First they're in a story by Zahn and now a mention in the SW databank as being in the movie...

The 501st ought to be happy with themselves.
