Ozzy Osbourne.
fun/fantasy movies existed before the overrated Star Wars came out. What made it seem 'less dark' was the sheer goofy aspect of it: two robots modeled on Laurel & Hardy, and a smartass outlaw with bigfoot co-pilot and their hotrod pizza-shaped ship, and they were sucked aboard a giant Disco Ball. -adw1

What about the guy who plays Kane on the C&C games? He'd make a good Sith Lord.

I second Nigel Bennett, Gary Oldman, and Christopher Walken. NB circa Forever Knight would have been great. Even had the voice.

For Sith Burds, Sharon Stone in her prime, Deborah Duchene, another FK alumnus, and Famke Jansen (thinking more of Goldeneye rather than the X movies). Maybe Gina Gershon as well.

Darth Sion. And you beat me to it.

EDIT-Crap, I meant Sion.
Absolutely! Good call, guys; I was thinking the same thing.

Of the actors already mentioned, I could see Gary Oldman or Rutger Hauer as Sith. But I'm especially partial to Patrick Bauchau and Clancy Brown. They played similar roles in "Carnivale" :)

Joe Kucan. Agreed wholeheartedly. I can imagine him as both a plot-weaving type and a marauding warrior type. A hybrid, if you will.

If an actor or actress has portrayed a Bond villain or henchperson, then he/she can probably make a good Sith.

Since we had Una Thurman, I'd like to nominate David Carradine, Val Kilmer, Sean Bean and Götz Otto.

I don't know if the guy who played Goldfinger would make a good Sith. That's just the vibe I get from him.

However, that is a good point. It also gives us the likes of Christopher Walken (who has been mentioned), Donald Pleasance (who hasn't been mentioned, but would make a cool Sith), and Christopher Lee. And I don't know about you, but something tells me that Christopher Lee makes a cool Sith. 8)

Christopher Lee is indeed a cool Sith.

Donald Pleasence has been mentioned before, but it wouldn't matter; he's been dead for over ten years. Robert Shaw would've also made an excellent choice, but he died just one year after ANH.

I second Steven Berkoff, Christopher Walken, and Famke Janssen, and I nominate Yaphet Kotto, Richard Kiel, Robert Davi, Benicio Del Toro, Sean Bean, Alan Cumming, Jonathan Pryce, Robert Carlyle, Sophie Marceau, Rick Yune, and Toby Stephens. About half of those are dubious at best.
I ship Eino Ilmari Juutilainen x Lydia V. Litvyak.

I can't believe nobody mentioned him yet: Wayne Pygram

I mean, Scorpius already is pretty sith-like...and Sikozu would make quite a great sith as well.

Hey, somebody already posted Chuck Norris in the Jedi thread, so why not? I think Vin would make a nice Darth Maul type Sith.

Crispin Glover would be good, he has the quiet mennacing aura about him. Tim Curry would be good as C'baoth, but that's about it.

Here's my list of candidates.

Christopher Walken was born to play a sith at some point...

Thomas Kretschmann (the Nazi officer from The Pianist)

Jeremy Irons

Sam Neil - I think he would be great as an charismatic republic officer who goes completely unhinged and turns sith.

Geoffrey Rush

Chris Cooper would be really creepy, I think.

I also think that Duwayne Johnson (The Rock) would make a pretty bad ass Maul type sith.

He has become more powerful than you could possibly imagine.
His villainous work aside, I really could see him more easily as a Jedi than as a Sith...
