Ah, thank you. I'm familiar with that sort of thing, of course; just never heard a particular word (much less that one) used to describe it.

Vader, I think, was one of the personifications of the evil of the Galactic Empire from the Reberls' standpoint. I think the Rebels likely would have tried to try and then execute him.
Luke would undoubtedly fight to defend his father in such a situation. More likely is the Rebels simply give Anakin a replacement rebreather, use the original rebreather mask as evidence to say, "Luke Skywalker killed Darth Vader!" and exile the reformed Dark Lord to... I dunno... Tattoine, maybe?
Yeah, when I saw the White Vader infinity, the first thing I thought was "Oh at least give him a new mask and suit. I mean REALLY."

You think Yoda's ugly? What the fuck's wrong with you?

He doesn't qualify for the same reason Chewbacca doesn't - they're lovable and cute. Though I suppose Chewbacca's intimidating size could qualify. It's subjective after all...

Watto, Salacious Crum, Sy Snoodles, Max Rebo, Jabba... These are examples of ugly.
Yoda is ugly the same way a pug or a bulldog is ugly. They go right through ugliness and come back on the 'cute' axis.

And Max Rebo isn't ugly at all! He's the blue elephant thing...about as ugly as a plush toy.

As for ugly heroes - in EU, both the wolfman and the freaky-looking lamprey thing from the Mos Eisley cantina end up joining the Rebellion.

Eh. I think he looks neat. But then, I like big catfish, squids, octopi, and all sorts of aquatic things with big eyes, so perhaps I'm not the best source on that. Regardless, I think this is all a bit off topic.

Lord of the Rings expresses some racist attitudes (while for the most part being anti-racist) while Star Wars doesn't. Let alone Lord of the Rings most definately pro-establishment and conservative views making it far more rightwing than the OP's quoted moron claims. That 'philosopher' whose name I forget is blatantly talking out of his ass, and must be some kind of mentally-deficient orc in order to think that Star Wars is some kind of fascist propaganda piece.
