This has already been posted over in G&C by petesampras, but it includes some new tidbits of information that I thought might warrant reposting here. Nothing Earth-shattering, but a few interesting bits nonetheless.

(This is all in relation to the first Death Star, in case you don't bother to go to the site. :P)

Capship Drydock Capabilities
Deep Harbor

An enormous spacedock built into the side of the station's biggest trench, the deep hanger is big enough to hold a star destroyer.
System Populations
The Resonance Torpedo Launcher fires plasma warheads that destabilize a star's core, triggering a supernova explosion that will destroy everything in its path. It is the only superweapon capable of destroying an entire star system and annihilating trillions of sentients in one fell blow.
Power Generation
Hypermatter Reactor 5

This gargantuan Hypermatter Reactor creates a fusion reaction of incredible proportions, more powerful than a thousand suns.
Hull Size
120km Diameter Hull

This 120km Diameter Hull, as large as a small moon, is the original superstructure planned for the project.
160km Diameter Hull

This 160km Diameter Hull represents a "mark II" revision of the original planned hull superstructure.
As noted by Rogue Follower over at TFN, this could provide a handy retcon, however unintentional, for the erroneous 120 km size.
500km Diameter Hull

While some experts have claimed a hull as large as 900km is required, a titanic 500km Hull should be more than sufficient for even the mightiest Death Star.
Apparently Palpatine went with the recommendation of "some experts" when constructing the second Death Star. :D

Project Name
The project is officially known as the Expeditionary Battle Planetoid Development Initiative, but those in the Ministry of Propaganda have taken to calling it the "Death Star".
Budget

You're given a trillion credit budget (hilariously, you can continue to spend until you're half a billion in debt), but this is most likely merely a gameplay consideration. See below.

There may be more I've missed.

Here's what Leland Chee has to say about the canonicity of the site [link]:
Websites go to Licensing for approval just as any other part of a game or book. Stats are balanced for "gameplay" purposes and obviously certain things like the ferris wheel and roller coaster (nods to Thrillville) and the spa (nod to Lego Star Wars II) are thrown in for fun. Also, keep in mind that this is a sandbox feature that allows for non-continuity possibilites like the early development of galaxy guns and world devastators. But yes, anything on there that is new is potential continuity that goes into the Holocron.

Top right-- "Anonymous Login". It'll open in a new window.

Oh Wow, I am loving this.. You can basically build your own Happy Fun Ball!

Roller Coaster anyone?

Awesome. I like Sith Black Death Star, with mooring towers instead of hangars, that's scary... ;) And some World Devastators... :D

12800 Points... now top this :D

With such a low defense we might be forced to evacuate at some crucial moment of triumph.

This is awesome. I made mine 500km with lots of laser cannons for shooting down pesky rebel fighters, and one of those "vaporize an atmosphere at interstellar ranges" uber ion cannons on top of the classic superlaser.

If a budget of a trillion is enough for to build a DS and Publius (at least I thought it was him) calculated the costs of an ISD correct with 4 billion credits we get 250 ISDs. Hardly the "score of sectorgroups" mentioned in other sources, so at least the budget is game-play-mechanics.

LOL! Man, I thought my attempts were bad. The program seems to think that sucker will blow before it gets out of spacedock! Still, nicely wankish.

Anyway, I designed a 160 km combo that I rather liked, with the interplanetary ion cannon to blow off the atmosphere, the World Devastator to recycle the planet afterwards, and quantum armor. It was overbudget and sucked at "naval" and "personnel" facilities, so the game didn't like it much. Also, it had a sauna that was a security risk. :P

Nothing says "invincible" like Star Destroyer white. Even if my fun ball 'o doom might blow up in its first engagement.

Why Build one Ball of Doom when you can split things up?

Behold! A 500k Titan That can hold the whole Imperial Navy and Army inside it:

And the Nearly automated 120k Ball of DEATH to protect it!

Tarkin liked this one:

Here's my favorite superweapon combo:

I set out to make a design that included:

A)full quantum crystalline armor
B)full shielding
C)composite superlaser
D) galaxy gun
E) No deficiencies except for cost overruns.

This is what I came up with: http://www.deathstardesigner.com/station/21093

Mine. It's over budget, but considering that's it's only deficiency, I don't care. The empire can afford it if it ensures the Tarkin Doctrine will run as planned.

But yes, anything on there that is new is potential continuity that goes into the Holocron.
So the Death Star now has a canonical ferris wheel, rollercoaster, speedway and sauna. The Empire does care about it's employees...

Cool 8)

Sith Black is the new black, by the way

Not to backseat mod, but we've got threads on this game going here and in G&C. Can we condense them or something, and save me flicking between the two?

Well, this one was supposed to be for commentary on the new potential continuity introduced...

I hate to be a party pooper, but Chee said that:

Bummer. Still, something like a cantina or a spa wouldn't be completely out of place on a station with the population of a small country.

Certainly not. Some of the things mentioned (such as the city sprawl with its malls etc.) was established in other sources.

I am imagining suddenly that the rebel strafing runs may actually have been blowing up parks and malls.

It makes you wonder how many innocent civilians like political prisoners, slaves and support staff died on the Death Star, if the battle station had detention blocks, shopping malls, recreation hubs and hospitals. :?
