Episode 1:final duel or Qui-Gon's burial

Episode 2:the parade in the end with acclamators taking off

Episode 4:attack on the Death Star

Episode 5:Dagobah or the Luke/Vader duel

Episode 6:Final duel and/or the burial of Anakin/Vader

Whenever Palpatine speaks. Especially his mockery of Luke in ROTJ. You just can't beat that voice of darkness.
Lì ci sono chiese, macerie, moschee e questure, lì frontiere, prezzi inaccessibile e freddure
Lì paludi, minacce, cecchini coi fucili, documenti, file notturne e clandestini
Qui incontri, lotte, passi sincronizzati, colori, capannelli non autorizzati,
Uccelli migratori, reti, informazioni, piazze di Tutti i like pazze di passioni...

The battle of Hoth when the ATAT's were bearing down on the fleeing rebels. That scene is powerful, complete with soundtrack. Then in RotJ at Endor when father and son are pushed into fighting again by fate. The giant naval battle at Endor was freaking awesome too, still holds the title imo.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

Ep I: Sidious saying 'Wipe them out - all of them' (I always had the feeling he meant 'don't bother me with trivial matters, you should have known what I would say')

Ep II: Anakin and Padme in the grass- only joking :-) Yoda and the children telling Obi-Wan how to find Kamino.

Ep III: The opening battle sequence over Coruscant.

Ep IV: When Ben hands Luke Anakin's lightsaber - that's a I want one too-moment

Ep. V: Death Squadron assembling with the Imperial March playing.

Ep VI: Sidious preparing to fry Luke.

Most hated scene: Executor crashing into the Death Star II

The opening scene of A New Hope. Still looks awesome now, as it was those many years ago and still sends shivers up my spine.

It's just awesome - the star destroyer bearing down on the small corvette, and you just cannot beat the soundtrack which makes it the more better.

Too many from the OT

ANH
Opening scene.
Luke at the homstead at sunset (the setting twin suns with the Force theme)
The meeting at the DS where Motti gets lippy with Vader and almost gets tracheaed.
The Rebel attack on the DS from "All wings report in" to when Luke torpedoes the DS.

TESB:
The Dance of the Star Destroyers - Imperial March with the Death Squadron assembling (if I ever did a movie on Jutland, I'd use that theme as the background for the scene of the GF Battle Squadrons or the BCF deploying into line);
The walkers advancing on Echo Base like Guderian and Rundstedt on Moscow during Barbarossa (especially the snapshot of the walkers in the background firing on the disengaging Rebel troops);
The carbonite-freezing scene of Han Solo, specifically the bit when Chewie goes berserk and when Fett raises his blaster at him, Vader pushes the weapon down (to this day, I wonder why Vader did that).

ROTJ
The sailbarge battle scene beginning with Luke's springboard act.
The briefing scene on Home One - always liked the holoprojection of Endor and the DSII
Father and Son - "The Emperor has been expecting you" to "Then my father is truly dead".
Luke is brought to Augie - From the moment the elevator comes up to when Luke ignites his lightsabre.
Endor Space battle - especially the initial Rebel Fleet coming out of hyperspace to "it's a trap!", the initial fighter combat "Watch out Wedge! Three from above" and the snapshot of the van of the Imperial fleet from the Falcon's cockpiy "Only their fighters are attacking..."
The lightsabre duel from the initial clash up to the part where Luke has chopped off his old man's prosthetic.

Can't really think of any particular scenes from the prequels, although my favourite scenes from the ROTS novel are the ones on the Invisible Hand up to when Anakin crashlands the ship, the Posse goes to Palpatine and the ensuing stramash, and the duel on Mustafa. Hmm, maybe on second thoughts, from the ROTS movie, the Order 66 scenes including the attack on the Temple.

Episode 3: Yoda throwing the two royal guards into the wall
Episode 4: Star Destroyer zooming over head
Episode 5: Executor intro & "I am your farther"
Episode 6: Palpy & the ewok being killed

I - Maul versus Qui Gonn/Kenobi, especially right as "Duel of the Fates" starts to pick up.

II - Ending scene with all of the clone troopers filing into the Acclamators

III - Order 66

IV - Kenobi's smile just as Vader cuts him down

V - "I am Your Father"

VI - "Help me take...this mask off"
"If it's true that our species is alone in the universe, then I'd have to say that the universe aimed rather low and settled for very little."

I: The Obi-Wan/Darth Maul duel.

II: The moment when the now-orphaned Boba Fett rests his head against his father's helmet. That scene alone gave me chills, especially how it was shot in shadow, along with the music.

III: The 'Western' scene, with Mace Windu and the other Jedi walking down the hall to confront Palpatine. Also, of course, the Obi-Wan/Anakin duel.

IV: Han's insane charge down the Death Star hallway. I love his expression when he sees exactly how many stormtroopers are there to confront him.

V: The whole Luke/Vader duel. For me, for some reason, my favorite part is how Vader says "But you are not a Jedi yet." Gives me goosebumps.

VI: The battle over the Sarlacc pit.
I don't like being a bastard, but they leave me no choice.

There are so many candidates. So for now, I'll just mention the scene when Palpatine is frying Luke and Vader is looking back and forth between the two of them, torn between sacrificing himself for his son and clinging to his long-held dreams of power. And then as the music swells, he rears his head back, turns on his former master, and chooses death.

I agree with that one.
(Though, I did always cheer as a kid when the Executor rammed the Death Star.)

From ANH, it's got to be that final moment right before the Death Star I explodes...the crescendo of the music, the firing sequence, then that final pause, and...BOOM! and that little light musical riff as the flaming remnants fan out.

The big shockwave in Special Edition really ruined that for me, though...

I have always loved the scene right before "i'm your father" ..Luke and Vader are fighting swinging away ..Luke scores a hit and with a inhuman Growl Vader hacks of Lukes hand.. right at this moment i had a "whathefuck" feeling when i saw it the first time, Like everybody else in the theater i expected Luke to win (since that is how such fight usually goes in films) .. right there i knew i was addicted Star Wars.

I: Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan versus Maul.

II: When Boba picks up Jango's head / The whole romance between Anakin and Padme on Naboo.

III: Anakin crying as he wipes out Gunray and friends.

IV: Tarkin's refusal to leave the DS / Kenobi's mind trick with the Stormtroopers.

V: "You've failed me for the last time..."

VI: When Vader mentions Luke's sister / Han finding out that Leia and Luke are siblings.
Please forgive any idiotic comments, stupid observations, or dumb questions in above post, for I am but a college student with little real world experience.

III: Anakin crying as he wipes out Gunray and friends.

:o Um, what? I certainly don't recall him crying - and the novelisation makes it clear he wanted Gunray dead.

My favourites:

I: Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan vs. Maul / "Wipe them out - all of them."
II: The GAR descending into the arena with Acclamators cruising overhead, coming in to lay the smack down and pull the Jedi out of the fire. Esp. since Mace had made it clear there was no surrender possible.
III: The Battle of Coruscant / the Battle of Utapau / The naming of Vader / Order 66 /"At an end your reign is, and not short enough it was I must say"
IV: The opening shot of the Tantive IV and the Devastator, Obi-Wan's final showdown w/Vader - one thing about watching the films in order 1-6 is that scenes like this have greater emotional resonance. You just know Obi-Wan's in serious trouble.
V: The Battle of Hoth / Luke vs Vader
VI: Luke vs Vader part 2 / Palpatine attacks Luke - while watching in order 1-6 diminishes the surprise value of this scene, when Luke throws away his lightsabre you get a feeling of dread as well as triumph when Palps says "So be it - Jedi."
"An elegant weapon, for a more civilised age".

IIRC, his face is visibly tear-stained during at least part of that scene. If one wishes to reconcile that with the novelization, it would be easy to say that his weeping was subconscious, a final vestige of his old personality.

Were I to choose a single scene from each film...

Episode One: During the final duel, when Qui-Gon's eyes widen as he senses his life ending, and then is immediately impaled by Darth Maul's blade.

Episode Two: Palpatine and the Jedi masters quietly discussing the genesis of the Clone Wars, and then looking down on the grand assembly field as hundreds of thousands of clone troopers march into their carriers.

Episode Three: Obi-Wan Kenobi exchanging desperate, parting words with his former pupil as the latter is slowly engulfed by flames.

Episode Four: The award ceremony for the heroes of the Battle of Yavin.

Episode Five: Darth Vader's revelation.

Episode Six: I personally consider the moments between Palpatine's defeat by way of Luke's resolve to Skywalkers flight from the exploding Death Star to be among the greatest scenes ever filmed, but of that, Anakin Skywalker's last unveiling is the most moving.

My favorite scenes would be:

Episode 1 - The entire fight between Maul and the Jedi
Episode 2 - The chase around Coruscant or the Obi-Wan/Jango fight
Episode 3 - The Invisible Hand, mostly for the banter; and every Mustafar scene after Anakin arrives.

Episode 4 - Han Solo scenes
Episode 5 - Han and Lando in the cell after the torture
Episode 6 - Han's commentary during their sentencing and the Death Star duel.

One thing that I have to comment on is how, when Obi-Wan is talking to Anakin just before he starts burning and even though he is crying, I always sum up his words as "WTF, n00b?"

Too many to list in a single posting...

From Attack Of The Clones: the moment Smi died in Anakin's arms. Probably Hayden Christensen's best single scene as you see the rage bubbling up in his face. You just knew in that moment that all those sandpeople were about to die. Even before lightsabre is even drawn. You know none of them are going to make it out of that camp alive.

As I said in the last thread like this- Episode V, when the retreat is called on Hoth. The image of the AT-ATs firing on the retreating Rebels is iconic.
