When Padme falls from the LAAT...

We know that clonetrooper armor allow a the wearer to pass through deflector shields.
The following question is very important because it may influence a lot of other topic as well.
When Padme falls out from the LAAT in AotC she simply falls on the sand but her body doesn't incinerate.
1. The shield of the LAAT is off-line. That possibility will bring up a lot of question in the "Superlaser" topic....
2. The shield of the LAAT works in an other way then other shields. I doubt it. Then why was it turned off when the Jedis get on it in the arena?
3. The LAAT doesn't have shields... That's untrue!
Any idea?

It could be an example of one way shielding. I.e it stops objects (and energy) from coming in, but doesn't prevent them from leaving. That would mean that it would have to be turnied off in the arena to allow the Jedi to board the LAATs.

Point there...
Otherwise how would you fire your own blasters through your own shield?!

If the shields are hull hugging then it is possible she fell out because she fell out thorugh an unshielded open door. Are the LAATs shielded? I never actualy read the ICS for EpII

To throw a theory out, the shield in that quarter could've dropped for a moment before the pilot equalized the shields again (ref: fighter shields: "switch your deflectors on, double front!")

I'm going to go with the open doors being unshielded, but the rest of the ship being shielded. Remember that the Jedi were blocking AA fire while standing in the doorway.

Two sec, before Padme falls out there's a direct hit against the shield on the other side of the LAAT. Directly at the opening, you can see Obi-wan as he tries to cover his face and reach for a grip. That hit shakes the LAAT and Padme falls out.
The hit effect takes place approx 1 or 2 meters from Obi's face, so the openings are shielded.
Maybe Vympel is right with his theory of switching the shield fully aft?!

It's a ray shield, there should have been no effect on her.

Simple. All shields were going aft, hence why it took significant fire from full-power fighter weapons.

Then why was the shield deactivated when the jedis got on the LAAT in the arena?
You can clearly see the hits on the craft's side and not just at the opening...
