Who is the greatest Star Wars whiner of all time? Is it Anakin, with his "It's worse, he's overly critical, he never listens, it's just not fair!" Seriously, it's ok when Luke whines sometimes, hes a farmboy stuck in the middle of nowhere, but Anakin? Hes a freakin Jedi! He gets cool powers, laser swords, protection of hot women, the whole bit. So why is he such a whiney bitch?

Or is it Luke with his "It's just not fair, Biggs is right I'm never gonna get outta here!" or "but I was gonna go down to Tosche Station and pick up some power converters!" This I can somewhat understand. He farms for a living on a dust ball, his uncle is an ass, and he has a crazy old wizard stalking him. I'd be a little on edge too. But something in his voice makes it whineyness times ten.

And last but not least, Jacen Solo. What a little woman! "hey guys look its a gigantic raygun, but why be mean and kill our enemy with it?" Is this kid that stupid! "ummm, well it leads to the Dark Side...or something....." I'm sorry but this guy needs to dig his head out of his ass and look at the situation. Oh well, if you know any more SW whiners (I know your out there) feel free to post them too.

Good vs Evil is a major part of Star Wars. There's no grey area.

That's closed minded. Because the original hero's journey focuses on the evil/good dynamic, NO EU STORIES WHATSOEVER can explore the grey area?

I think the whole Jaina flipping between light and dark did create a sort of gray area. And to a lesser degree the whole Han being a smuggler and a pirate, bounty hunters, and that whole bit is a gray area also.

The OT is pure good and evil, in my opinion. The New Trilogy is not, nor is the EU.

And while Jacen is something of a whiner, his reluctance to use Centerpoint Station was not totally unjustified, since when it was used it killed countless thousands of friendly Hapans in the process.

And Anakin is the biggest whiner. Luke whined a little bit, but he grew up pretty quickly after his surrogate parents were murdered. Anakin did not cease his bitching for most of EpII.

If he'd pulled the trigger as soon as he could, that wouldn't have happened. That short amount of time allowed the battle to shift, bringing the Hapans into the blast radius. Shithead whiner Jacen doomed them.

I thought that Anakin (Solo) would have been able to take out all the Vong without harming the Hapans anyway. It was the fact that Thrackan 1) wasn't a Force adept and 2) wasn't attuned to the station that doomed the Hapans.

NTM the fact that Anakin SAW the Hapans coming, and said that he could have destroyed the YV without harming their allies.

I just got done re-reading that duology too. Jacen was great until the NJO. Then he just became a fucking whiner, and ever since then, when the story involves him everything Star Wars is fucked up. Hopefully now it will be different since he's been 'broken' and Vergere sacrificed herself for his worthless ass.

Of course they could. The problem is that Jacen's forays into the murky waters of morality are badly written. They're not the least plausible or believable, IMHO; they lack the kind of truthfulness that's necessary to uphold the illusion.

Next in line would be C3PO, then Luke, then Anakin (before he was Vader of course). Note that Anakin is Luke's father AND he designed C3PO.. coincidence? ; )

At the very least... people told C3PO to shut the @#$#@ up or switched him off when he was bitching, but that's about all I'll say in his defense. ; )

Well that and the fact that he shot several minutes after they initially intended to fire which gave time or the Hapan Fleet to arrive in system.
